The Nearest Thing To Real Magic . . . . Electricity

The Nearest Thing To Real Magic . . . . Electricity

Why is it the School science curriculum on electricity is so achingly dull when it really is the nearest thing I know to real magic?

This science show will put the sparks back into the circuit and get the volts back into the kids.
Originally planned for those barely awake year tens but this show works for all ages.

Some pictures, a couple of equations, but mainly demos of this most vital of subjects.
Things will fizz, spark, glow and float in the air.
No members of the audience will be damaged but it is recommended that mobile phones be turned off.
This school science show is good for revision and inspiration and strangely given the title focuses on electricity. Static, high voltage and low, electromagnetism and the things it can do.

And more

Particularly suited to Secondary Schools – KS3 and beyond, I can do a Primary School version too.
This science show runs for about and hour, needs and hour to set up and ten minutes or so to reset. Apart from a data projector and a couple of tables there is little else needed. Well, an audience would be nice!
When the circumstance and venue allow this show not only stars my Van der Graaff, my Tesla Coil and a host of other kit.
